  • Intensive Training in Berlin

I'm in Berlin putting in some serious "training" hours…not really. I've taken the weekend off to come and visit the World Cup in Berlin.
  • Get Set for Triathlon

The nerves are jangling - only two days away from the Blackrock Sprint Triathlon. I'm resting up in advance of the race, so no swimming tomorrow. I had a physio session last night, again focusing on my left side and a twinge in my left shoulder I picked up at swimming on Tuesday.
  • Today I Swam 1800 Metres

My swimming is getting better every day. Thanks to the folks at Piranha for being total legends!
  • Running

Light physio exercises were the order of the day as I recovered from a twinge in my left leg. On the road to my first triathlon.
  • Good Friday Swimming

My legs were a bit stiff after the bag-packing last night; but the swimming went well today. When the coach told me to do a 200m warm-up I wasn't totally phased, but it was still a tough all-in-all. This week I was joined by Ed in the "technique" (beginner) lane, so it was good to have another person at a similar level.
  • Home Again

I'm back from the US today and looking forward to a good night's sleep tonight. The flight home was quickened by a 100mph tail wind, which was good. That's all I have the energy to write really, it's been a long day.
