    Blackrock Race Report

    Last year I did my first race at Blackrock, so it was nice to come back this year to give it another go. It's not hard to see why a lot of people make this their first race; the race is incredibly well run with a short, shallow swim - and your race entry fee includes a post-race burger and a cracking view of the Cooley Peninsula from the beach; not a bad way to spend a day.

    I went for a swim last night, and then went swimming this morning as usual. Nothing too exciting to report.

    Get Set for Triathlon

    The nerves are jangling - only two days away from the Blackrock Sprint Triathlon. I'm resting up in advance of the race, so no swimming tomorrow. I had a physio session last night, again focusing on my left side and a twinge in my left shoulder I picked up at swimming on Tuesday.
